THE CENTER FOR AGING IN PLACE
The Center for Aging in Place (CAP) works with communities in New York’s Westchester County to support Aging in Place (AIP) groups and create a new lifestyle for residents who desire to remain independent at home and engaged in community life as they grow older.
Aging in Place (AIP) groups, also known as Villages, are grassroots, non-profit organizations that provide an array of individual services that promote healthy living and independence and offer a variety of programs that facilitate social connections and minimize isolation.
CAP is affiliated with the National Village-to-Village Network, a national organization that provides expert guidance, resources and support to help communities establish and maintain their Villages (Aging in Place Groups). It is part of a movement that is growing across the country as older adults choose to live at home and find new opportunities to age successfully.
